Time of Division

Psalm 53:2

Elohim looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek Elohim.

Through the years, my husband and I have watched the divisions between churches, faith, people and views become wider and wider.  People have become quite combative and down right nasty when they are defending their belief systems.  Are you aware that this is supposed to happen?

Messiah tells us in Luke what will be.  Is anyone really paying attention or are we all too focused upon human response versus the spiritual warfare being played out before us?

Luke 12:51-57

Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:

For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.

The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

And he said also to the people, When ye see a cloud rise out of the west, straightway ye say, There cometh a shower; and so it is.

And when ye see the south wind blow, ye say, There will be heat; and it cometh to pass.

Ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky and of the earth; but how is it that ye do not discern this time?

Yea, and why even of yourselves judge ye not what is right?

Titus tells us that even the faithful can and have been deceived.  Causing division as well as hatred for another.

Titus 3:1-8

Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,

To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.

For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.

But after that the kindness and love of YHWH our Saviour toward man appeared,

Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Set-apart Spirit;

Which he shed on us abundantly through the Messiah our Saviour;

That being justified by his Favour, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in YHWH might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.

It’s wonderful to be passionate.  It truly is.  During my singing days, I had a statement that I put on my keyboard.  Nothing is accomplished without passion!   However it is very saddening for me to view and hear passionate rebuking brought forth through many hateful forms.  Some examples which we have witnessed with others as well as towards ourselves come as swearing, name calling, making accusations and taking stabs due to assumptions. Very hateful behaviors indeed.  Everyone is guilty of these responses in one form or another.  Not one of us can say we haven’t done this at some point in our lifetime.  For our emotions can cause great outrage in any given situation.  Sadly great misconceptions can shew forth online.

As I love to say, when one is not in front of another, they cannot see the expression nor hear the tone of voice.  A statement can easily be interpreted incorrectly depending upon the mood of the individual reading something written to them.  For example, I could write a scripture verse such as something in Proverbs.  I will use verse 14:16 to make my point.

“A wise man feareth, and departeth from evil: but the fool rageth, and is confident.”

While one could read it with a stabbing tone, it is in fact scripture stating a fact with no underlying tone within the soul. For the recipient of this verse, however it can be misinterpreted as a poking when it is no such thing.  This is such a downfall for many.  For it is within the emotions of the reader that adds or takes away the meaning of the statement.  If the reader is highly emotional or feeling hurt, it can bring on a raging fire within.  If the reader is objective and reading only the words with no emotion, the lesson can thus be learned and growth gained.

As we talk to, listen to and observe many, this  comes to mind.  A senior in High School understands more than a 5th grader.  Yet a 5th graders wants to prove themselves smart to the senior.  So they excitedly share what they know.  If they are corrected, they can sulk, pout and can even stomp their feet and shout to be heard by the senior.  With passion they will cry out This is what I was taught!!!  The senior, after hearing the same old babble from the 5th grader chooses to move forward since the 5th grader is too focused on making their point instead of listening to the senior.  Neither of them is wrong, per say.  Each, instead, is at a different educational level than the other.  Therefore, being a 5th grader is not considered stupid or even unlearned.   It is a normal stage of development and growth.  For that 5th grader is above a 1st grader and can give the same reaction as the senior did when approached in the same manner.  Nothing wrong with that now, is there?

Truly if one seeks from the soul of ones heart, YHWH will answer while teaching.  Allowing the individual to be a student.  Lifting the veils off ones eyes that have been placed there by society.  With each lesson learned, the student graduates to the next level of understanding.  It’s all about where one is at on ones journey.   We all have heard people state things such as…“I’ve read this same verse a million times.  Then one day I had a revelation and I understood the deeper meaning.  I can’t believe I didn’t see that before!!!”  Looks like they graduated to the next level of learning if you ask me!

Yet, if one is shown something that they do not understand, it seems to become an all out war against so many teachers who have graduated from elementary school to high school…then college and beyond.  Debates can be a good thing if all are open minded enough to study each others works in depth to understand where the other is coming from.  Worse yet is ignoring someone who asks an opinion or even guidance while learning to then be cut down once they have grasped something amazing!  Closing one’s mind and slamming with immature name calling and accusations is just illogical in my eyes and downright rude.  Each person’s journey with YHWH can be utterly amazing.  And not everyone will get the same lessons.  However, many will coincide which creates witnesses.  Sadly, some witnesses that come together end up separating due to the different levels they are at.  Some gently and peacefully while others stomp their way out like the running of the bulls.

The time of division has been upon us and is growing.  Some will step away quietly, some with rage and hot tempered emotions, some will just change venues and move quickly away from others hoping not to be followed.  Ah, what fun it is during this time.

Jeremiah 4:22

For my people is foolish, they have not known me; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.

This statement here is quite deep.  As the spirit of haughtiness seems to be running rampant these days, we all are learning.  Some will get harsh lessons, some will move forward smoothly, some will fall backwards.  Some will lose everything they know while others will gain more then they can imagine. Everyday is a new beginning to hopefully climb another step towards our amazing Creator.

2 Corinthians 10:2-13

But I beseech you, that I may not be bold when I am present with that confidence, wherewith I think to be bold against some, which think of us as if we walked according to the flesh.

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:

(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through Elohim to the pulling down of strong holds;)

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of YHWH, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of the Messiah;

And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

Do ye look on things after the outward appearance? If any man trust to himself that he is the Messiah’s, let him of himself think this again, that, as he is the Messiah’s, even so are we the Messiah’s.

For though I should boast somewhat more of our authority, which YHWH hath given us for edification, and not for your destruction, I should not be ashamed:

That I may not seem as if I would terrify you by letters.

 For his letters, say they, are weighty and powerful; but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech contemptible.

Let such an one think this, that, such as we are in word by letters when we are absent, such will we be also in deed when we are present.

For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.

But we will not boast of things without our measure, but according to the measure of the rule which YHWH hath distributed to us, a measure to reach even unto you.

I could never speak for YHWH for I am a mere human being.  His ways are not ours.  But I can say I imagine.  I imagine He’s watching us all amidst many whirlwinds of heart raging debates.  I’d suppose He’s shaking His head at the lot of us.  I can imagine as He’s shaking His head, He is sifting through the people.  Putting some on one side and some on another and so on.  Dividing the tares from the wheat.

And for the ministers out in the world who are facing much malice, these verses are for you all.

Ephesians 6:19-20

And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,

For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
