Respect Respect, Where did you go?

Every day I witness my husband’s work.  Every day I witness the hours upon hours he spends in the Word.  So much so, that I sometimes feel like I barely get time to talk with him about daily things due to his studies.

I don’t think many understand what it is to take on a position as he has.  He has given up his life.  His own personal life!  He has sacrificed himself in so many ways to spread the word of YHWH.  Therefore, I tend to get quite frustrated when I see people just scream and swear and respond at him in the ways they do.

I’d like to see these same folks put the hours into studying Scripture, sacrificing their lives and wants to do the will of the Father.   I’d like to see these same people realize how much work it is.  Many sleepless nights reading, documenting, piecing together things for others to gain wisdom from.   To then be spit upon.

This, we knew would happen.

John 15:19
If ye were of the world, the world would love his own:
but because ye are not of the world,
but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

However, what deeply saddens me is that so many run around choosing words that are “politically correct” and “socially acceptable” during their off line lives yet come online and think it is just fine to swear at, tweak a name to insult, spew out sarcastic hatred, and far worse, towards teachers who are sharing information that is good for the soul.

Many will disagree.  We expect that.  For we were brought up in a world that thrives on teaching lies to control its population.  Heaven forbid someone speak their real mind and not mimic what they have been fed since childhood.  Heaven forbid we actually independently study instead of repeat what we read online, saw on TV or heard the preacher say. For when one does, the parroted summaries come storming forward instead of seeking and studying for themselves.

My husband’s job is not easy.  It takes time away from his family.  It takes time away from doing things that often need to be done and puts them on hold for later.  It’s a sacrifice.  A well worth it sacrifice.  For our choice to live for YHWH comes with many difficulties when dealing with people.

It seems a very very select few seem to understand this and show any form of gratitude.  Instead, the ego flies once their views are questioned during a teaching.

When are people going to sit in a classroom and listen to the teacher again instead of jumping up and down throwing spitballs at the chalk board?  Oh that’s right, I forgot….we live in modern times where students in school don’t even listen to the teachers.  Yes, many schools have issues with kids doing whatever they want in class.  As if the teacher does not exist at all.  As the saying in our house goes… A 5th grader can not teach what a college professor teaches for they have years of learning to get to that level.

And we  wonder why the world is the way it is today.

Ego is an evil sin.  Pride is a killer.  To humble oneself is a great gift to behold while  self control can be  a conquered battle.

So all I can say to those who are so utterly disrespectful…SHAME ON YOU!

John 15:13
Greater love hath no man than this,
that a man lay down his life for his friends.
